BRCS is part of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which aims to assist the world’s most vulnerable people. Every day, all over the world, millions of Red Cross volunteers, staff and members improve the lives of people in need. National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which operates in over 181 countries, are guided by an unswerving belief in humanitarian values. These National Societies, with 97 million volunteers and members, are our greatest strength. It makes us the largest humanitarian organization in the world. In a world of poverty, diseases, war, displacement and disaster, we serve those in need without regard to race, gender, religion, class or political affiliation.
